A mother acted as chauffeur to her gang-banging son and his
friend as they knocked a teen off his bike and beat him up, said a
police report.
According to the report, the woman drove her car alongside two boys in the 6200 block of North Talman last Tuesday
morning.
As the boys rode their bikes to school, the woman's son opened the car door, slamming it
into one of the boys and knocking him off his bike.
The woman stopped the car and waited while her son got out and
began kicking the victim and yelling gang slogans at him and the
other boy, said the report.
"I told you that you were going to get your a-- kicked; I told you
that was going to happen," the report quoted the boy as telling his
victim.
When he was finished, he got back in the car and his mother drove
away, said the report.
Police arrested the two boys, both 15-years-old, and charged them
with aggravated battery. Though both were charged, the report does
not detail role the other boy played in the incident.
The mother was not arrested or identified in the report, only
mentioned as the driver of the car.
